Today, I received the July 2019 Gacha Gacha Crate, created by Japan Crate.
WHAT'S INSIDE A GACHA GACHA CRATE?
6 hand-selected gachapon capsules each month ranging from your favorite characters to funny figures, useful accessories and more.
WHAT IS A GACHAPON?
KINGDOM HEARTS FIGURES
Exclusive Kingdom Hearts figure. Each in chibi anime style. Whole team including Sora, King Mickey, Donald Duck, Goofy, and some enemies such as Maleficent and the Heartless inside.
Donald Duck was inside my box. Honestly, I would have preferred the Sora figure, but what can ya do?
DRAGON BALL Z FIGURES
Original HG (high-grade) Dragon Ball figures from Japan. So detailed you'll think they came through the TV screen. Who's power will be harnessed: Frieza, Vegeta, Bulma, or Super Saiyan Goku?
I got the SS Goku figure!! Yay!!
POKEMON PAINT
Pokemon are getting artsy and a little messy in the cutest way. The paint palette is pink, so think of all the pink Pokemon you can! Who did you get?
I got Clefairy! One of the cutest Pokemon there is! This figure is one of my favorites.
WOOD PUZZLES
Can you solve this wooden puzzle? Challenge your brain to fit all the pieces together to form a 3D shape. Each puzzle has a different difficulty level. How hard is yours? 1 of 5 puzzle shapes.
I'm pretty sure that mine is the Easy level in difficulty. There's only four pieces that form a pyramid. I still haven't solved mine, though.
CAT WIND CHIME
Wind chime is Japanese is "furin" and they are often used in Summer. They are hung outside to hear the cooling and relaxing sound they make on Summer days.
These wind chimes are really cute and the little cat bell adds to the cuteness! There's a chance for several different cat designs. I received the orange cat.
HUNGRY KIRBY
Nom nom nom. That's Kirby and friends munching away! Kirby gacha figures are popular to collect in Japan. The Cook Kawasaki figure is especially rare.
Well, I didn't get the Cook Kawasaki figure, but I did get the figure of Bandana Waddle Dee holding a piece of pizza. Which seems appropriate with how much I love and eat pizza!
July in Japan is all about Tanabata, wind chimes, and festivals! Tanabata, also known as the Star Festival, is held on July 7th. It is a celebration of a princess and cowherder who fell deeply in love with each other. They were later separated to opposite ends of the Milky Way and they are only allowed to reunite once a year on Tanabata. Join the celebration by writing a wish on a thin slip of paper and tying it to bamboo!
Wind chimes are a symbol of summer in Japan. Traditionally, wind chimes were hung to ward off evil or tragedy. However, nowadays people enjoy them as decorations and the sound is believed to make people feel cooler on hot and humid days. Share the Japanese belief by hanging up your gacha windchime!
Summer festivals in Japan are filled with music, dance, traditional wear, and lots of food! People often go with friends and family, pick up food from their favorite food stall, and watch the lively activities. Just try not to eat as much as Kirby!
I've always liked capsule toys ever since I was a kid. It's kind of disappointing that there aren't really any capsule machines around here anymore. This box was really fun and exciting to open and see what was inside each capsule. It took me back to my childhood and I'm really excited for the next one!
