THOUGHTS:
Taichi and friends continue their investigation into the stolen goods and are informed about thieves in the orchards. They are told that the thieves had a magician as a bodyguard. They prepare that night, but when they discover and confront the thieves the next day, the magician isn't there. The thieves are captured, but they aren't the masterminds behind the thefts. When the true culprits are revealed it turns into a deadly fight. We learn more about the Crimson Pact in this episode and the effects it has on anyone it's used on. It's a power that is very dangerous and deadly, as Taichi find out during his fight. The cost is high. Taichi is somehow and important pawn for these people. His true power is beyond human. But even that amazing power comes at a price when it's given before the appropriate time. He's told that if he wishes to use the power, it'll be painful, like death. We meet Aerial, the Wind Spirit, who provides this power against the rules. I'm very much interested in his true abilities. I have a feeling that what we see in this episode is just a taste. And what do these evil people want with him?

Season 1 Episode 5
Merciless Invasion

THOUGHTS:
On the way to the Capital, Kunai and his group come upon a village that is under Luna's governance. Kunai has plans for the village and after seeing how impoverished it is, sets out to help the Bunnies make the village prosperous again. This means getting the well up and running, of course, using means that are unheard of in that world. It blows their minds. To be honest, I don't have much to say about what happened in the village. I was more entertained by the events happening in the Capital. The Holy Maidens are having a meeting with their Board and all Angel, the eldest sister can think about is how worried she is about her sisters. She believes Luna is being deceived and manipulated by the Demon Lord. Her reaction is even more hilarious when Killer Queen comes in in a lovesick haze over Zero. And both the Demon Lord and Zero just happen to be the same person. I'm interested in how Angel will handle things when she has her face-to-face with Kunai. He seems to have quite the effect on the Holy Maidens.

THOUGHTS:
After surviving the dangerous Pole Trees, Yunhua opens up to her shipmates and finds people who finally accept her. Meanwhile back home, the parents of the Astra crew discuss how they'll official handle the disappearance of their children. While their fates are being decided, the crew land on their next planet and find a oceanic paradise on Arispade, where they are able to enjoy a much needed break. But things aren't all sunny when one of their own turns against them. Have they found the enemy amongst them? Their parents truly disgusted me. The only one that seemed to really care about finding their child was Aires' mother. There has to be something going on when the Vice Principal and Luca's father both say the same quote, word-for-word, when asked about how they feel about their children's disappearance, "It's as if my body is being torn apart." Ah, seriously, just think about it again upsets me. I'm really interested in Ulgar's extreme reaction to learning who Luca's father is. It's a crazy cliffhanger.
