The anime will premiere in Japan on September 18.
The film was previously set to premiere May 29, but TOHO and the film's production committee delayed the film's premiere due to COVID-19.
BUMP OF CHICKEN will be performing the film's theme song "Gravity."
Crunchyroll has translated a message from the band:

Akari's parents will be voiced by Kikuko Inoue and Hideyuki Tanaka, and Yuna's parents are voiced by Aya Hisakawa and Kazuhiko Inoue. Shun Horie and Ayane Sakura will join the cast as Akari and Yuna's classmates.
The main cast of the live-action film will be making guest voice acting appearances in the animated film.
In the anime film, Takumi Kitamura and Eiji Akaso are cast as male students who visit the Cultural Festival. Meanwhile, Minami Hamabe plays Chiyo in the play "Itsuka Sekai no Katasumi de" (Someday in a Corner of the World) performed at the festival, and Riko Fukumoto voices Chiyo's daughter Ayuko.
