Funimation has released the second English-subtitled trailer for the TV anime adaptation of Ira Ishida's Ikebukuro West Gate Park novel series.
The Pinballs are performing the opening theme song titled, "Needle Knot," and Innosent in Formal are performing the ending theme song titled, "after song."
The anime's premiere has been delayed to October 6 from it's original July premiere date due to COVID-19.

Tomoaki Koshida is directing the anime at Doga Kobo. Fumihiko Shimo is in charge of series composition. Junichirō Taniguchi, Maho Yoshikawa, and Mai Matsuura are designing the characters. Hiyori Denforword Akishino is designing the props. Norifumi Nakamura is directing the art, and Yuka Itō is the color key artist. Takehiro Go is the compositing director of photography, and Daisuke Hiraki is editing. Daijirō Nakagawa and Ryuuichi Takada (monaca) are composing the music, and Masanori Tsuchiya is directing the sound.
Ikebukuro West Gate Park was previously adapted into a 12 episode live-action TV drama in 2000 with direction by Fuminori Kaneko, Hideki Isano, and Yukihiko Tsutsumi. The TV drama was so popular the original novel was then adapted into a manga series with artwork by Sena Aritou, and an English language version of the manga was published by Digital Manga Publishing.

The story focuses on 21-year-old Makoto, a cool and level headed member of the G-boys gang.
