The official website and Twitter account for the TV anime adaptation of Square Enix and Platinum Games' NieR:Automata RPG has released a new promotional video that announces and previews the opening and ending themes songs.
The opening theme song titled, "escalate" will be performed by Aimer.
The ending theme song titled, "Antinomy" will be performed by amazarashi.
The anime's official title is NieR:Automata Ver1.1a.
Square Enix describes the game's story as:
NieR:Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their battle to reclaim the machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful machines.
Humanity has been driven from the Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final effort to take back the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to destroy the invaders. Now, a war between machines and androids rages on... NieR:Automata Ver1.1a is set to premiere on January 7, 2023.
