The movie that serves as a sequel to the TV series is being produced by under the direction of Mitsuo Fukuda. Details such as the release date will be announced at a later point in time.
Project 2: The Life-Sized Freedom Gundam Statue
A life-sized Freedom Gundam statue was installed at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao, which opened on April 28 in Shanghai, China as the first life-sized Gundam outside of Japan. It is 18.03 meters tall. A special animated video created in Japan by director Mitsuo Fukuda was projected on the giant LED vision screen at LaLaport.
Project 3: Gundam Docks at Shanghai
From May 28 to July 11, Gundam Docks at Shanghai—the first major Gundam event in China—will be held at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao. Experience Gundam history and anime, try out Gunpla, and purchase event-exclusive items.
Project 4: New Game in Development
A new game in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series is in development. Details will be announced at a later point in time.
Project 5: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ECLIPSE Comic
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ECLIPSE is a new comic series that will begin serialization in Japan in Kadokawa's Gundam Ace magazine and elsewhere July.
The story is set in Cosmic Era 72, during what would become known as the "lost two years" between the two wars. Some call it the time of "peace on thin ice," while others call it the "brief respite before the next turmoil."
With a story credited to SOW, art by Atsushi Soga, characters designed by Kogado Studio, and mecha designed by Junichi Akutsu, the manga follows 17-year-old Mobile Suit pilot Tatsumi Hori, as well as 19-year-old commander Miyabi Oto Kio and 18-year-old Coordinator pilot Ken Noland Suse.
