Shogakukan has announced that Yūgo Kobayashi's Ao Ashi manga series is getting a TV anime adaptation in the Spring of 2022.
Yūgo Kobayashi's comment on the news:
I was informed of the decision long ago, last February.
But they asked me not to tell anyone until the official announcement.
I couldn't tell anyone except my family, and whenever the staff and friends who were working so hard on the project innocently said, "It would be great if it becomes an anime," I kept saying, "I hope so."
Aoashi is going to be an anime.
Every time I receive a character design or the voice of a recording artist, I feel as if a new life is being breathed into Aoashi.
I'm still working on the manuscript today, looking forward to the day when AoA will spread from TV.
