The official website for the TV live-action adaptation of Miyoshi Tomori's A Devil and Her Love Song (Akuma to Love Song) manga has released a new visual and promotional video for the first episode. Five new cast members have also been revealed in the video.
The new members of the cast are: Sō Okuno as Yūsuke Kanda, Karin Ono as Ayu Nakamura, Suzu Yamanouchi as Tomoyo Kōsaka, and Shiori Yoshida as Hana Ibuki. Keisuke Horibe has also been cast in an unnamed role.
The series will be premiering on June 19 on Hulu, with all 8 episodes available in Japan.
Nana Asakawa will play Maria Kawai and Hiroki Iijima will play Shin Meguro.
The live-action series is the second part of the "Margaret Love Stories," a collaboration between Shueisha's Margaret magazine and Hulu adapting three manga that ran in the magazine into live-action series.
Yokoo Hatsuki is directing the series, with scripts written by Erika Yoshida, Satoko Ogasaki, and Naomi Hiruta. Sōichi Ueda is composing the music.
Viz Media publishes the series and describes it as:
Meet Maria Kawai - she's gorgeous and whip-smart, a girl who seems to have it all. But when she unleashes her sharp tongue, it's no wonder some consider her to be the very devil! Maria's difficult ways even get her kicked out of an elite school, but this particular fall may actually turn out to be her saving grace...
Maria's frank nature gains her more enemies at her new school, but her angelic singing voice inadvertently catches the attention of Yusuke Kanda and Shin Meguro. Can these boys mend her hardened heart, or will they just end up getting scorched?
