Aniplex, Yūhodō, and LIDEN FILMS have announced a new multimedia project titled, "Build Divide." Kakegurui manga writer Homura Kawamoto and his younger brother Hikaru Muno are listed as the original story writers.
The project will include both a TCG and TV anime adaptation.
The TV anime adaptation is titled Build Divide - #000000 (Code Black)-. The anime will be split into two cours, with the first one premiering in October 2021 and the second premiering in April 2022.
The first booster pack and the first two starting decks of the TCG will be available in October 2021.
Yuki Komada is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS, while Yoriko Tomita is in charge of the series scripts. Shinpei Tomooka is designing the characters.
Story Summary:
A city ruled by a "King," where all superiority is determined by the strength of the TCG "Build Divide" - New Kyoto. There has been a rumor in this New Kyoto that says, "If you win against the King in Build Divide, anything you want will come true." And in order to challenge the King, you must participate in a TCG battle called "Rebuild" and complete the "Key."
-Everyone has a wish they want to come true. Teruto Kurabe, a boy who vows to defeat the King for a certain purpose, is led by a mysterious girl named Sakura Banka, and throws himself into the Rebuild Battle. Teruto and his friends' battle now begins in the city of New Kyoto, which has been taken over by Build Divide!
