WHO IS RILAKKUMA?!
Who is this silly looking bear we've been seeing all around Japan? It's Rilakkuma and he's not actually a real bear. He's an animated bear suit?! Whatever he is, he's a real cutie!
Rilakkuma was created by San-X in 2003 and debuted through a web comic called Rilakkuma Seikatsu which follows the everyday adventures of Rilakkuma and his friends! It's remained a big hit since then!
2017 marked his international debut which was celebrated with a huge Pop-Up in Florida, USA with a follow up in New York the next year!
Rilakkuma has become an international phenomenon and even has an animated cartoon, Rilakkuma and Kaoru, currently running on Netflix!
