This will be the only label this duet will have. If you are not a fan of twisted stories that deal with dark themes, rich assholes, and lots of filthy sex, this will not appeal to you. This couple is not unicorns and rainbows and neither is their story.

I could tell by looking at the cover that I was going to enjoy Sweet Poisons. We have Nova who is seen as a good girl, but is hiding darker demons. Then there's Rhett who's dripping in sin, but just how deep does that sin go? Nova seems to have a good head on her shoulders but she's also prone to certain addictions, Rhett being one of them. I also like how insightful Nova is, reflecting those insights into her artwork. Rhett intrigues me too. What kind of background does he have that would cause him to do the things he has to do? I liked how when he's with someone, he's with them and doesn't play around with other while he's with that person. He seems oddly intent on Nova, though. Which leaves me really curious about the reasons.
I was really confused about what was really going on. What happened with Nova's parents? What is Rhett really doing in town? What is Nova really hiding? And how does that connect to Rhett's reason for being in town? But these questions, along with that cliffhanger, left me hooked and wanting the next book.
Sweet Poisons is dark, twisted, and "painted in shades of red." You'll be left intrigued, curious, confused, and totally hooked. I can't wait to read the next book!
