The official website and Twitter account for the TV anime adaptation of Takahiro and Yōhei Takemura's Mato Seihei no Slave (Slave of the Magic Capital's Elite Troops) manga have announced that the series is getting a second season. Both reveal a new character in the upcoming new season, Ren Yamashiro.

Junji Nishimura is the anime's general director. Gorō Kuji is directing the anime at Seven Arcs. Yasuhiro Nakanishi is handling the series composition. Ryōta Kanō and Akira Kindaichi are writing the script. Hiroyuki Yoshii is designing the characters. Kaoru Nishimura is in charge of color design.
