Clouded Leopard Entertainment has announced that they will launch Ys: Memories of Celceta Kai for PC via Steam in Spring 2024.
The game will have Japanese audio and Traditional Chinese and Korean text.
Ys: Memories of Celceta Kai first launched for PlayStation 4 on May 16, 2019 in Japan, followed by June 9, 2020 in North America and June 19, 2020 in Europe. In the west, it was released as simply Ys: Memories of Celceta.
GAME OVERVIEW:
■ About
Ys Foliage Ocean in Celceta is equipped with several unique systems carried over from Ys VIII, including auto-mapping and Flash Move, a technique that allows players to dodge enemy attacks at the last possible moment.
Based on the PlayStation 4 version, a significant upgrade from the PS Vita version that supported frame rates of 60 frames per second, improved quality textures, and clearer in-game background music, the Steam version features even higher quality visuals for a more immersive gameplay experience. The Steam version is also compatible with the Steam Deck 16:10 display.
■ Story
In Casnan, a frontier town bustling with the gold rush, a young man with red hair wanders amidst miners and laborers. His encounter with a burly miner quickly turns sour, leading to a rough altercation.
“Where is this place? Who… am I?” he mutters to himself.
It’s right after these words that a voice calls out to him, “Hey, you’re Adol, aren’t you?”
The man who approaches him is striking, with silver hair and a notably sturdy build. The young man doesn’t recognize him, but the stranger, both familiar and oddly frivolous, introduces himself as Duren, an information broker. Duren informs him that he is Adol Christin. They had met in this town a few weeks earlier, after which Adol had ventured into the rarely explored Forest of Celceta and subsequently vanished.
What really happened to him in the Forest of Celceta, a place feared as a demonic domain? Why has he lost all his memories? Determined to uncover the truth, Adol resolves to brave the forbidden Forest of Celceta once more, this time with Duren by his side.
