The official Twitter account for the TV anime adaptation of Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!! manga has released the 2nd trailer and theme song artist for the first film, Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump.
The theme song titled, "Orange" will be performed by SPYAIR.
The first film is titled Gekijōban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen (Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump).
Toho Animation will return to produce the two Haikyu!! Final anime films with the animation continuing to be made by the team at Production I.G. Susumu Mitsunaka is both directing and writing the script for the film.
Crunchyroll is streaming all four TV anime seasons of Haikyu!! and describing it as:
Based off of the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball. Inspired by a small-statured pro volleyball player, Hinata creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. Unfortunately the team is matched up against the "King of the Court" Tobio Kageyama’s team in their first tournament and inevitably lose. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama After entering high school, Hinata joins the volleyball team only to find that Tobio has also joined.
The finale to the series will be in the form of a two-part film project.
The first film depicts the match between Karasuno High and Nekoma High following the events of the fourth season.
The first film Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump is set to premiere on February 26, 2024. The film will be getting IMAX screenings on opening day in Japan.
