The official Twitter account for the TV anime adaptation of Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!! manga has released the main poster visual for the first film, Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump. They've also announced that the film will be getting IMAX screenings on opening day in Japan.
Susumu Mitsunaka is both directing and writing the script for the film.
The first film is titled Gekijōban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen (Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump).
Toho Animation will return to produce the two Haikyu!! Final anime films with the animation continuing to be made by the team at Production I.G.
The finale to the series will be in the form of a two-part film project.
The first film depicts the match between Karasuno High and Nekoma High following the events of the fourth season.
The first film Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump is set to premiere on February 26, 2024.
