The official website for the new TV anime adaptation of Natsuki Takaya's Fruits Basket manga has released the character art for Kyoko and Katsuya in the series' compilation film, "Fruits Basket -prelude-."
The film will include the prequel telling Tohru's parent's story, "Kyо̄ko to Katsuya no Monogatari (Kyо̄ko and Katsuya's Story)," as well as new scenes written specifically for the film by Natsuki Takaya that will show events that happened to Kyo and Tohru after the TV anime's story.
The main staff and cast from the 2019-2021 TV anime will be returning for the film.
The Blu-ray will be released the same day as the film's premiere.

It's also been announced that Ōhashi Trio will be performing the film's theme song titled, "Niji to Kaito" (Rainbow and Kite).
Miyuki Sawashiro and Yoshimasa Hosoya are reprising their roles as Kyoko and Katsuya Honda.
Fruits Basket -prelude- is set to premiere February 18 in Japan.
