The official website for the stage musical adaptation of Naoshi Arakawa's Your Lie in April (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) manga has announced the musical's new performance schedule.
The musical's new performance starts at the Nissay Theatre in Tokyo on May 7-29, 2022, before touring throughout Japan from June to July.
The musical was originally set to begin its run at Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL in Tokyo in July 2020, but was delayed due to COVID-19.
Ikko Ueda directs the musical, while Riko Sakaguchi has written the script. American composer Frank Wildhorn composes all of the music.
Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English and describes the series as:
Kosei Arima was a piano prodigy until his cruel taskmaster of a mother died suddenly, changing his life forever. Driven by his pain to abandon piano, Kosei now lives in a monotonous, colorless world. The cast includes (left to right, top to bottom) Yūta Koseki and Tatsunari Kimura double cast for the role of protagonist Kōsei Arima. Erika Ikuta plays the heroine Kaori Miyazono. Fūka Yuzuki plays Tsubaki Suwabe. Kōki Mizuta and Takuto Teranishi are double cast for the role of Ryōta Watari.
