Funimation has announced that they will be streaming the second season of the TV anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yūkaku-hen), in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand later this year. An English-subtitled trailer and English version of the key visual have been released.
The anime will air on 30 stations and channels (including Fuji TV and Tokyo MX) in Japan later this year.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train will be aired on TV September 25 in Japan.
The Demon Slayer orchestra will be held again in September, with a Blu-ray release later.
Haruo Sotozaki is returning to direct the second season at ufotable, and Akira Matsushima is again designing the characters. The cast from the first television anime season is returning, including Katsuyuki Konishi as Tengen Uzui.
It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.
Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
