Crunchyroll has released an official trailer for the new anime Night Head 2041, based on the 1992 live-action Night Head drama series.
The opening theme song titled, "Icy Ivy" will be performed by Who-ya Extended.

George Iida, the director of the original live-action Night Head drama, is writing the new anime. Takamitsu Hirakawa is directing the anime at Shirogumi. Oh! great is designing the characters, Kenichiro Tomiyasu (INEI) is drawing the concept art, and Yutaka Yamada is composing the music. Slow Curve is in charge of planning and production.
The anime is set to premiere in July 14, 2021 on Fuji TV's [+Ultra] programming block.

The manga adaptation is set to debut on April 28 on Kodansha's YanMaga Web website. Kei Ogawa is drawing the manga.

In the story, NIGHT HEAD refers to the 70 percent of the brain that is believed to be unused by humans. The mysterious "power" that humans possess is said to be hidden in this 70 percent of the brain. The TV drama centers on two brothers - Naoto Kirihara, who has aggressive psychic powers such as psychokinesis, and Naoya Kirihara, Naoto's younger brother who has reading, healing, and precognition powers.
In addition to the Kirihara brothers who appeared in the original TV drama, the anime will add another two brothers - Takuya and Yuuya Kuroki, who hunt down the psychics as The National Guard Unit.
