The official website and Twitter account for the live-action film adaptation of Tomoko Yamashita's The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window (Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru) BL manga has announced that the premiere of the film has been delayed to 2021 due to COVID-19.
The film was originally set to premiere October 30, 2020.
Masaki Okada is portraying Rihito Hiyakawa and Jun Shison is portraying Kosuke Mikado.
Yurina Hirate will portray Erika Hiura. Hiura looks like a normal high school girl, but has the power to inflict powerful curses on people.
Additional cast members include: Yuki Sakurai as Saeko Hanzawa, Kenichi Takita as Hiroki Hanzawa, Emi Wakui as Noriko, Makita Sports as Matsuo Hiura, Michitaka Tsutsui as Tetsuya Ishiguro, Shinya Niiro as Kazuomi Sakaki,
Yukihiro Morigaki is directing the film, and Tomoko Aizawa is writing the script.
SuBLime publishes the manga digitally, and describes the story as:
Shy bookstore clerk Kosuke Mikado has the ability to see ghosts and spirits, an ability he wishes he didn't have, since what he sees usually terrifies him. Rihito Hiyakawa, an exorcist whose supernatural powers are as strong as his social graces are weak, doesn't seem to fear anything, mortal or otherwise. When this odd couple gets together to solve the bizarre cases that come their way, their work methods may not be entirely safe for work!
The film was originally set to premiere October 30, 2020.
