The official website for the My Hero Academia OVA episodes has revealed two new posters for the two original anime that were bundled with the manga's 13th and 14th volumes in Japan in 2017. They will also be available for streaming in Japan at the same time as the new two-part OVA premiering August 16.
Only a few days after the USJ attack by the League of Villains, the students of U.A. High School's Class 1-A visit USJ again to conduct rescue training. As each student uses his or her own Quirk and wits to train, the remnants of a muscular enemy suddenly appear! Against the enormous enemy, Deku and the students of Class 1-A join forces to confront the new enemy!
One day, four students from Isamu High School arrive to participate in a special class with U.A. High's Class 1-A. Among them was Tsuyu's best friend Habuko Mongoose (voice: Maaya Uchida) in middle school. While the two were happy with the reunion, Romero Fujimi (voice: Ryohei Kimura) and Bakugo suddenly confront each other. A joint lesson on the theme of survival outdoors begins, but a mysterious gas suddenly surrounds them. Then, several zombies appeared! What are the zombies really...! And the classmates bitten by the zombies become zombies one after another. Can Deku really survive the fear of zombies...!?
Funimation previously announced that they will be streaming the new two-part OVA "Boku no Hero Academia: Ikinokore! Kesshi no Survival Kunren" ("Make It! Do-or-Die Survival Training") in the My Hero Academia series the same day it premieres in Japan.
The OVA will premiere in Japan on August 16, and will premiere on Funimation subbed on August 15. The OVA will also be available on HULU and other services worldwide simultaneously.
Funimation is also be hosting a "watch-along" event on the day of the OVA's release.
