Funimation has announced the theatrical run for the My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: Heroes Rising film in the U.S. and Canada.
They will be bringing the film to more than 1,000 theaters in early 2020. The screenings will be available with both an English dub and English subtitles.
The movie's theme song is performed by sumika, titled "Higher Ground."
The film is set to premiere in Japan on December 20, 2019.
The first one million theatergoers will receive an exclusive manga companion, which was drawn by Kohei Horikoshi titled My Hero Academia Vol. Rising.
Funimation describes the film as:
Class 1-A visits Nabu Island where they finally get to do some real hero work. The place is so peaceful that it's more like a vacation … until they're attacked by a villain with an unfathomable Quirk! His power is eerily familiar, and it looks like Shigaraki had a hand in the plan. But with All Might retired and citizens' lives on the line, there's no time for questions. Deku and his friends are the next generation of heroes, and they're the island's only hope.
