Square Enix has released a record-setting 7-minute TV commercial for the Final Fantasy VII Remake game.
In the commercial, Masataka Kubota (Tokyo Ghoul films, live-action Death Note TV) portrays an office worker who has never played the original Final Fantasy VII game. His girlfriend, played by actress Misato Morita (live-action One Week Friends) used to watch her older brother play the game when they were children. And Tetsuji Tamayama (live-action Lupin III, NANA) plays a die-hard fan of the original game. While hearing various stories of people around him reminiscing about the game, Masataka Kubota's character gradually becomes more interested in the game.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2020.
