The official website and Twitter account for BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense, the anime adaptation of Yuumikan's Itai no wa Iya nano de Bōgyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu light novel series, has announced that Season 2 will be broadcast in Japan on AT-X, ABC TV, TOKYO MX, TV Aichi, and BS11 in January.
The opening theme song titled, "Kono Tate ni, Kakuremasu." will be performed by Junjo no Afilia.
The ending theme song titled, "Step for Joy" will be performed by FRAM.
The anime's second season was originally set to premiere in 2022, but has been delayed to January 2023.

Shin Oonuma is directing the second season at SILVER LINK. (Mirai Minato co-directed the first season with Oonuma). Fumihiko Shimo is again in charge of series composition. Kazuya Hirata will again design the characters and serve as chief animation director. Hiroyuki Honda will also serve as chief animation director. Taro Masuda is returning to compose the music.
