The official website and Twitter account for the TV anime adaptation of Shō Harusono's Sasaki to Miyano manga has announced that the series is getting a 13th episode OVA that will be bundled with the manga's 9th volume on July 27, 2022.
The episode is titled "A Little Story Before Noticing Love," which follows the Disciplinary Committee as they form "The First Lost Property Detective Team" at Hanzawa's suggestion and search for a student's missing keychain.
Hirano's roommate Akira Kagiura makes an appearance in the episode. Nobunaga Shimazaki reprises this role from an earlier drama CD.
Sasaki and Miyano premiered on January 9, 2022 on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV. Then on BS NTV on January 10, and on AT-X on January 11. Then on U-NEXT on January 9.
Miracle Chimpanzee performed the opening theme song titled, "Mabataki" (Blink).
Yūsuke Shirai (Shūmei Sasaki) and Sōma Saitō (Yoshikazu Miyano) performed the ending character theme song "Ichigo Sunset" (Strawberry Sunset) as their respective characters.
The cast of the manga's CD drama reprised their roles in the anime.
