The official Twitter account for the TV anime adaptation of Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen manga has released a new visual for the film adaptation of the prequel manga Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in celebration of the film's success in the box office.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 premiered in theaters in Japan on December 24.
The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film has earned 5.87 billion yen (U.S. $50.7 million) from 4.3 million admissions in its first 11 days since the film's premiere. Far outpacing Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, which earned 4.93 billion yen (U.S. $42.6 million) in its first 14 days, topping the Japanese box office in 2021 with a final box office total of 10.22 billion yen (U.S. $88 million).
The film's theme song titled, "Ichizu" (The Only Way) was performed by King Gnu. The ending theme song titled, "Sakayume" (Contradictory Dream) was also performed by King Gnu.

MAPPA returned to do the animation for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, while TOHO distributed the film in Japan.

The film had IMAX screenings the same day as it premiered in regular theaters in Japan.
