The official website for the Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup (The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup) anime series has announced the the anime will get a sequel titled, Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup Semifinal that will air in sometime in 2024.
The sequel will center on the Japan vs. Germany semifinal.
The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup premiered in July 6, 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the series as part of their Summer 2022 season lineup.
The opening theme song titled, "I can fly" was performed by singer Yoshiki Ezaki and hip-hop duo Bleecker Chrome.

Keiichiro Kawaguchi returned from the last 2D anime, The Prince of Tennis II Hyotei vs Rikkai Game of Future, to direct the new series at Studio KAI and M.S.C, and Mitsutaka Hirota again superivised the scripts. Akiharu Ishii returned to design the characters and serve as chief animation director.
