The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Kokone Nata's Play It Cool, Guys (Cool Doji Danshi) manga has the anime's fifth character visual and trailer introducing Motoharu Igarashi.
The second opening theme song titled, "Warau na!" will be performed by syudou.
The second ending theme song titled, "Taisetsu" (Precious) will be performed by the five main protagonists, voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi, Kouki Uchiyama, Yuichiro Umehara, Shōya Chiba, and Makoto Furukawa, as their characters, under the unit name PICG.
Chiaki Kon is directing the anime at Studio Pierrot. Makoto Uezu is overseeing the series scripts, and Airi Taguchi is serving as both character designer and chief animation director. Masato Nakayama is composing the music.
Play It Cool, Guys premiered on October 10, 2022. Crunchyroll streams the series as part of their Fall 2022 season lineup. The anime's second cour is set to premiere on January 9, 2023.
