MAPPA has announced that they are producing a new original water polo TV anime titled RE-MAIN, along with Tiger & Bunny lead writer Masafumi Nishida who is serving as co-creator, chief director, series script supervisor and scriptwriter for each episode, and audio director.
An official website and Twitter account have opened with the announcement.
The anime is set to premiere this year.

Kiyoshi Matsuda is directing the anime at MAPPA under Nishida's supervision. Kaori Huto is designing the original character concepts, and Shiho Tanaka is adapting those designs for animation. Kana Utatane is composing the music.
The main character, Minato Shimizu, quit playing water polo in the winter of his third year of junior high school after an incident.
He enters a high school and starts playing water polo with the friends he met there after making a promise.
However, the weak water polo club is faced with a variety of difficulties. ......
