Funimation and their partners at KADOKAWA have released more detailed character descriptions for the main characters and a special promotional illustration for the TV anime adaptation of Natsume Akatsuki and Kakao Lanthanum's Combatants Will Be Dispatched! (Sentōin, Hakenshimasu!) light novel series.
Yusuke Shirai will be joining the cast as Combat Agent 6 and Miyu Tomita is joining as Alice Kisaragi.
The anime is joining Funimation's Spring 2021 lineup this April as a co-production with KADOKAWA.
Combatants Will Be Dispateched! is set to premiere in April 2021.
Agent Six is an overworked and underpaid minion for the Kisaragi Corporation, an evil organization that has basically already taken over the world, and is now looking to take over other worlds.
And despite being one of its earliest employees, Agent Six just can’t get a promotion for some reason. He’s clever, but is a bit dumb when it comes to his perversity. Oh, and he’s implanted with a chip (as all Kisaragi employees are) that detects when he’s being evil so he can score Evil Points.
While he’s great at delivering some solid “bad guy lines,” his actual evil deeds are pretty petty.
Alice Kisaragi is a high-spec female android created by the Kisaragi Corporation to assist in the recon of these other worlds. She’s incredible strong and competent, and is great at combat and utilizing weaponry. So…remind us why Agent Six is even here?
She’s also got some great deadpan humor and consistently roasts Agent Six for being a dumbass.

Always being a gun to a sword fight!
With world domination nearly in their grasp, the Supreme Leaders of the Kisaragi Corporation--an underground criminal group turned evil megacorp--have decided to try their hands at interstellar conquest. A quick dice roll nominates their chief operative, Combat Agent Six, to be the one to explore an alien planet...and the first thing he does when he gets there is change the sacred incantation for a holy ritual to the most embarrassing thing he can think of. But evil deeds are business as usual for Kisaragi operatives, so if Six wants a promotion and a raise, he'll have to work much harder than that! For starters, he'll have to do something about the other group of villains on the planet, who are calling themselves the "Demon Lord's Army" or whatever. After all, this world doesn't need two evil organizations!
